CTAV is dedicated to improving the quality of transportation for all Community Transit riders. Membership on the Community Transportation Association of Virginia's (CTAV) Board of Directors is simple:

1. You must care about Community Transportation (i.e., Paratransit, Public Transportation, Human Service Transportation, Fixed Route Transit, Accessible Transportation, etc.)

2. You must be able to attend most all the monthly Board meetings held across the state.

3. You must agree to and abide by CTAV's bylaws.

4. You must have a sense of humor (we have fun while we work).

Board members are elected by the membership at the annual meeting for two year staggered terms - so every year members vote for half the Board member positions.
