2007 CTAV Scholarship Winner Announced!

The Community Transportation Association of Virginia is pleased to announce Loren Nicole Breeden a graduating senior from Spotswood High School in Rockingham County has been named the organization’s 2007 scholarship award recipient. Loren is a National Honor Society student and has served as a health care companion volunteer. She also works part-time for Kingmor Supply. She will attend Blue Ridge Community College this fall and eventually enroll at a four-year university. She plans to study special education and pursue a career in teaching. CTAV Scholarship

The Community Transportation Association of Virginia is now accepting applications for its 2008 scholarship award. The organization presented its first scholarship in 2003. In each of the following years a deserving high school senior has been awarded a $1,000 college scholarship. The award is officially presented at the yearly CTAV EXPO and conference in August.

The Community Transportation Association of Virginia is a statewide organization of small urban and rural transit providers including many human service agencies. The scholarship is made available to students graduating from a Virginia public high school who also have a parent or grandparent employed by a CTAV member organization. The applicant must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for fall semester 2008.
